Military records for family history

Genealogy researcher Ann Swabey references for military records in the UK

We commissioned Ann to source the 1st Battalion Irish Guards' War Diary for January-February 1944 at the National archives, so that we could have a little more detail and context for our trip to Anzio to pay our respects to a relative who died in battle there.

Ann was kind and helpful throughout the process, responding promptly to all our emails, and we would not hesitate to recommend her.

Once we receive our relative's military service records, we shall commission Ann once again as we try to fill gaps in our family's history.
